- Coach wants to continue to try to attack the paint first and allow that to open up the floor. The coaching staff has harped on it all year. Said depends on the defense they face for how they plan their attack but the philosophy they have wanted to play with is more aggression on offense and look to score in the paint which they did against TCU.

- Weber is super happy for Mike playing really well against TCU especially coming off of a poor game versus Kansas. Coach wants him to continue to let the game come to him like he did in Ft. Worth.

- Weber says Miguel can shoot the ball and pointed he shot it really well in HS. He said it could still be nerves/confidence still for when he does miss in bulk some games from 3pt. Says he doesn't always have his hands and feet right ready for a catch and shoot. They have worked on that with him. Coach thinks he did better versus TCU and was big with scoring 7 points down the stretch. He also pointed out that buzzer beater to beat Omaha was a big shot too.

- Coach said Kruger used to be more conservative and defensive oriented before going to OU and since at Oklahoma the offense has become more free flowing. Weber thinks Oklahoma is a better defensive team this season due to a combination of things: Having former roommate and K-State teammate to Kruger in Jim Molinari who has been a tough hard nose defensive coach; with that came a little change in philosophy; and they are much tougher as a team with guys like Harkless and Gibson and others.

- A couple weeks ago they showed footage of when Barry was here on how to play defense on how to be ready on the rotation and not taking plays off. Said the experience and learning has started to show for the team. The coaches have challenged Selton and Mike to be a defensive stopper for them. Says guys are getting better with ball screens and understanding with where they are supposed to be. Coach says he see Kaosi coming along and feeling better about his leg. Says Kaosi for sure helps on defense and helps with the ball screen defense. When he's in there and it helps keep Davion fresh.

- Coach really wants Mike to come back. Especially to make up for his missed redshirt freshman year and since Carti had a good spark in that same season he didn't see as much time as he may have if Carti wasn't so good as freshman.

- Coach sees a lot of similarities of Barry in Selton. As Florida guys with similar coach in Kenny Gillion. Coach wishes his defensive principles would have some even sooner but says he's come along. He says Selton is a really good one-on-one defender and they knew that potential was there. He also mentioned how Barry struggled offensively too on offense as a frosh and then worked on his game a lot to become the K-State great he was. Coach says how Selton is unique is that he has a big strong body.

- Coach talked with Monte Murphy over the weekend and the sophomore has started therapy. Says he will probably be back on campus the first week of March and back to making progress basketball wise. They did surgery and first three weeks of therapy in Texas with school being all through Zoom for him. Coach said the surgery he had is supposed to get rid of the pain in the petellar tendon so the hope is he won't have any issues when he comes back on the floor next year. The key is for him to be pain free but the coaches seem hopeful that he will be able to make a comeback.

- DaJuan came back and played against Kansas with only two days of practice. Coach thinks they probably over did his minutes vs ku since he still has a lot of soreness. They do need him and he has been gutsy to even play. Coach says there's some guys that wouldn't play in his scenario and pain level. Coach feels for DaJuan since he has had two injuries in the year both foot injuries. But he has the toughness and wants to get after it. They just have to try to limit the soreness.

- Coach says that Antonio has been successful recently. Said he got the 15 and 14 against Oklahoma State without one play being run through him. Said he has picked up that niche and has been successful. Coach shot with him for 40 minutes yesterday. They want him to make shots but as long as he's doing those other little things well he can be very valuable.
