- Weber said you saw the continuity even in some of the games they didn’t win. They’ve figured out some of their roles. Now the big step was figuring out how to win and the last two games kstate has made the plays and got the tough stops at the end. They have to continue moving forward. They still missed some looks and missed some open guys so they’re still improvement to be had and they have a tough matchup with West Virginia this weekend.

- You get to March anything can happen. There’s going to be someone that is going to come out of no where and have success at the end. But they just need to keep making progress if they want to do something special.

- Antonio is able to walk without pain now. Now they are going to see today if he can run and jump without pain. Rudi thought he would start practicing by now. Carlton won’t be available till Iowa State next week.

- Jermaine Henderson has the scout on West Virginia. They fight for possessions and go a lot of good work on the inside. The defense was pretty solid against WVU the first time but they just allowed turnovers to get the best of them.

- The guys came in and watched film yesterday. Coach doesn’t want the season to end because they’ve made improvement. Hopefully they can continue the improvement over the last stretch of the season. They will be close to finishing their entire schedule which not a lot of teams can say.

- The mental toughness of his team has impressed Weber.

- The quality of shots has gotten way better over the past month. They have started to learn when they move the basketball they get better looks both inside and outside.

- The thing that surprised Kasubke is that they stuck him into the fire and he’s been great. It says something about a kid to come into the office and see what he did in film. He has some toughness and spunk that Coach didn’t know he had.

- The defense has been better all around. Transition D, fighting over ball screen, half court defense, everything is so far advanced from where they were before. What Selton has done is huge. When you can slow down the main guys that is major. Massive improvement on the defensive end obviously makes Weber a lot happier.

- Coach said the offense and scoring wasn’t going to get a ton better during the season but what they could get better at is defense and they have now. The offense has slowly come along. They makes a ton of shots in practice it just doesn’t translate to the games. Offense is something that improves the most during the offseason so Weber knew they had to get better defensively before anything else even though that is a tall task too but they’ve made some of the improvements necessary.

- Davion Bradford has gotten better on the ball screen defense. Mak was one of the best of best on those defensive principles and Bradford and EZ have continued to get better with their.

- Coach is super excited for Dean Wade. Coach texted him last night to tell them he belongs where he’s at , similar to what coach and others have told Wade when he was at kstate and Wade was too humble to say he sees himself in the NBA. Xavier Sneed had a bug game last night in the G-league.
