I know that the Seth Littrell boat has sailed, but it's still a little perplexing.
1) If talks broke down over GT wanting SL to take on some assistants = shame on K-State.
2) If talks broke down because SL didn't want a buy-out in his contract = WHAT ?
"IF" Oklahoma wanted SL to be their coach, a $3 or $4 million buyout is not going to detour them one second. Heck $5 or $6 million is chicken feed to OU, if they wanted a particular coach, a buyout would not stop them (well, maybe $10 million might make them pause... maybe).
I suppose if two candidates were equal, a buy-out could tip the scale, but REALLY ??
I don't suppose anyone has had a chance to ask Gene Taylor, what happened to the SL courtship? And probably the next time that Gene is in front of microphone, he will be introducing the next coach... probably an akward time to ask about it
