Baseball: K-State drops opening game of Big 12 Tournament

Tough game for K-State, who couldn't get anything going on offense once again. The Wildcats finished with 7 hits but struggled to produce any runs. The pitching unit, however, played well, allowing just three hits and two earned runs while striking out 10 batters.

K-State will play again tomorrow (Wednesday, May 22) at 9 a.m. CT against the loser of the game between No. 4 WVU and No. 9 TCU. One more loss would eliminate them from the tournament outright.

One final update on Baba Miller

I know it's late in the p.m., but I just received a source that told me they're expecting Baba Miller, the Florida State transfer that K-State has been targeting, to commit to Florida Atlantic.

For what it's worth, I don't think this is a situation where K-State was beaten, per se. They certainly wanted Miller, but he'll get a major role with Florida Atlantic and could be a focal point of their offense. Miller is attempting to boost his NBA Draft stock, and I think that played a role because he would've been a role player for K-State. Instead, he's heading to a place that is likely an easier trip for his family (he is from Spain) and will allow him to be a focus of their offense.
