And we got him crystal balled to us now. Surely the kid will get a 4* after that invitation. Usually it’s the top 100-200 players only in the country that get an invite.

I was kind of surprised looking at some of the numbers on the offensive line, I had a perception that they really struggled in the passing game, but learned that I put too much weight early in the season. They actually ended up being stronger in their pass protection by the end of the season.

Motivation is by far the biggest factor here. Kansas State returns to its first New Year's Six bowl in a decade (2013 Fiesta), while Alabama missed the CFP for just the second time since it began following the 2014 season. The Crimson Tide did show up the last time they fell short of the top 4, crushing Michigan in the 2000 Citrus Bowl, but opt-outs likely will be a significant factor for coach Nick Saban's team. Will quarterback Bryce Young, linebacker Will Anderson Jr. and others even play? Kansas State can hold its own with anyone, and boasts standouts on both offense (running back Deuce Vaughn, quarterback Will Howard, receiver Malik Knowles) and defense (defensive end Felix Anudike-Uzomah, cornerback Julius Brents, linebacker Austin Moore). Maybe the more talented Tide roll, but I like the more engaged team to pull off the upset. Once again, Ty Zentner kicks the game-winning field goal.

Prediction: Kansas State 31, Alabama 30

I listen to your pods and YouTube posts…but, I keep wanting to say that Will Howard didn’t fit the messingham system. This new system fits Will better than Adrain even. Will thrives in the new system. Am I wrong? Will is a better thrower than Skylar even. I think the Texas game goes differently if Will was there, no offense to Adrian because he’s a leader and a good player but I think Will is a better QB. 🤷

• Duece Vaughn is not one of Kiper's ten highest-ranked RBs in the 2022 class. In fact, Vaughn isn't even in Kiper's "just missed" category, which names six players. So the second team All-Big 12 selection isn't one of Kiper's 16 highest ranked RBs as of early December.
• Cooper Beebe is the seventh-ranked offensive guard, according to Kiper
• Edge rusher Felix Anudike-Uzomah is Kiper's 10th ranked defensive end, per Kiper in the 2022 Draft.

A reminder: a big board isn't a mock draft. instead, it's a ranking of players overall -- and by position -- so Kiper ranking each wildcat where he does may not be reflective of where a player could be selected in the NFL Draft.

Tip-off is about a half hour or so away. K-State is looking to improve to 9-1 on the season with a win before playing what looks like a resurgent Nebraska team in Kansas City on Saturday.

For anyone that is curious, we were just told that the basketball team will host postgame celebrations at Rockin K's with Coach Tang coming over to speak after wins.

The first one will be today (as long as they beat Incarnate Word), others scheduled:
