CBS Sports drops a story last night that they consider to be a big bombshell that the networks are offering 1 Billion in additional $$ to add 4 teams through the end of the grant of rights. That seems like a big number, but broken down to feeding another 4 teams for another 10 years, that is only enough to cover the $25 million that the existing Big12 teams already get.
So basically, $1 Billion is exactly what it would cost to feed another 4 teams, and therefore creates no additional revenue for the existing 10 teams. What am I missing here, and is Dennis Dodd capable of math?
