Since Risner announced that he is returning, I do not believe K-State is losing one starter on offense. Well, if you don’t count Ertz, but I consider Skylar Thompson the starting QB at this time.
There is a rumor that Dimel is transferring to OU (which would be very interesting since OU doesn’t use a fullback much) ???
IMO #1 hole to fill next season:
Will Geary
I'm guessing most would agree.
I don’t know if Wiley and/or Huggins will be ready to step up.
Joe Davies is a possibility.
Jordon Robertson is an undersized D-tackle (weight wise).
And a bit of an unknown = Tevita Fehoko. Fehoko red-shirted this past season.
Has good size at 6’2’ – 320, but have heard nothing about his potential.
It’s unlikely that Pickle will be ready as a true freshman.
IMO #2 Hole to fill next season:
Matthew McCrane
It’s easy to underestimate the value of a good kicker.
“IF” DJ Reed leaves early for the NFL. I might move DJ in front of Matthew (given the impact that DJ has on special teams & defense).
I hope K-State adds another juco corner to the 2018 class.
AJ Parker looked very promising. And Durham proved that he can be serviceable.
BTW, if it comes down to the final hour and K-State needs another juco corner, they can always steal one from ku…ha ha.
OH, I'm talking about players, no jokes about replacing Dimel's play calling...ha
