LB: Elijah Lee, JR - Second Team All-Big 12 this season - Led team in tackles and INTs
LB: Mike Moore, SR - Healthy and motivated he ended this season in "Beast Mode"
LB: Will Davis, SR - Assignment sound likely to be a backup unless playing heavy run teams. #3 in tackles this season.
NB: Donnie Starks, SR - Played pretty well this season in the Nickle. #2 on team in tackles.
S: Dante Barnett, SR - Second team All-Big 12 in 2014.
S: Adams (SO)/Prewett (JR)/Newlan(JR) - They all played extensively this season. It should be a good competition. Adams has looked the best recently. All were Top 10 on the team in tackles this season.
CB: Duke Shelley SO - Looked really good in Big 12 as a true Freshman.
CB: ???
I look over this defense and I see a squad that is talented and experienced. We should be pretty good along the D-Line. We have good speed and talent at LB. Our secondary looks pretty solid with Barnett back (with the exception of one unknown at CB). With Snyder as our coach our success is almost always a function of how good our defense can perform. Snyder coached teams almost always find a way to score. We finished this season ranked #55 (out of 128) in points per game with 30.5 per contest despite our lack of offensive playmakers and poor QB play.
