Who replaces Morgan Burns and Danzel McDaniel?
Duke Shelly has played pretty well as a true Freshman and I expect he will hold down one of the starting spots, but I am not sure where we go opposite of him. We do not appear to be heavily recruiting any JUCO corners. We have one offer out, but he has been offered by dozens of Major schools and does not appear to have much interest in the 'cats. This makes me think that the staff is either comfortable with what we have or they do not think there is much available in the JUCO ranks this season.
Donnie Starks has been playing Nickle this season. Could he slide over to the boundary and have one of our returning safeties (Barnett, Prewett, Newlan, Adams) take over nickle responsibilities?
The other options would be Cre Moore or one of the Macks. Moore is in the doghouse and Jesse Mack has only played in 4 games this season as a Jr. Ryan Mack has played in 9 games, but I think mostly on special teams (not sure?).
There has been some talk of McDaniel getting to comeback, but I am skeptical. He did not get hurt until the 5th game of the season.
