Lot of people like to complain about this year's offense and much of it I agree with. However, it is notable that when it comes to making shots, especially 2s, this offense was fantastic. Last year too.
Consider....
For 2PT% this year's team was the best in K-State basketball history at 53.4%. Last year's was 3rd at 51.8%.
For eFG% (which factors in a made 3 as 1.5 makes to account for the added point value) this team was 3rd in K-State basketball history at 52.6%. Last year was 2nd at 52.7%.
That despite those teams only shooting 34.2% from 3 this year (19th) and 36.2% (11th).
This year's team was also 4th all time in FT% at 73.3%.
Also keep in mind in our 5 games without Dean, our 2PT% dropped to 45.9%, eFG% to 45.4%, and 3PT% to 29.7%. So losing him was kind of a big deal.
