I feel like the staff took a step back this year recruiting wise. Adding Thad Ward is hopefully a step in the right direction, I know many on her are also hoping that Tui is gone once his contract runs out and we can hire another assistant with a focus on recruiting.

According to Rivals we are 9/10 in the Big 12 this year and the only school along with KU that has below a 3.0 class average and no 4 stars. Some of that is just crappy rivals rankings such as:

Tobi - 5.4 2 star - I'd say he's more of a 5.7
Parrish - 5.4 2 star - With late offers maybe a 5.6
Klemm - 5.7 3 star - I'd argue he could be a 5.8 4 star

on the other end:

Struber at 5.5 is probably high
Lara at 5.7 is definitely high

Also Iowa State kicked our ass again this year. Players they grabbed that we wanted: Gregory Gaines III (4 star WR), Ikenna Ezeogu (5.7 DE from KC), Jeremiah Cooper (DB), Gabe Burkle (TE), Will McLaughlin (5.7 LB), Carson Willich (LB from KC), and Jacob Imming (5.7 LB).
Imming, McLaughlin, and Burkle don't bother me b/c they are from Iowa but Willich and Ezeogu do, hate losing out on KC kids. Also just hate to lose that many Tier 1/2 targets to a peer school.

And some other targets we missed out on that really hurt:
Travis Bate (Duke), Mudia Reuben (Stanford), Charles Nimrod (Tennessee), Grant Page (Colorado), Braden Miller (Mich St), Brandon Best (GT), Nick Herzog (Northwestern), Trey Fite (SMU), Caden Crawford (Iowa), Jaren Kanak (OU), Shakaun Bowser (Colorado), Quantaves Gaskins (Vandy), Clayton Powell-Lee (GT), Gage Stenger (Nebraska).

Hoping for a better year in 2023 anyone think we see improvement or more of the same?
