Ended the game with 247 yards.
The Barnes TD ended that drive (6 plays, 62 yards). ISU comes right back scores quickly after the long pass and the Lanning QB runs.
On the next Cat drive: 1st down: pass to Heath for a 1st down
1st down: pass to Heath (3 yard loss)
2nd down: run by Ertz (loss of a yard)
3rd down: Incomplete pass
We were fortunate to burn almost 2 mins on this drive. Could have been worse.
To me, this was the series we had to win the game. Seems like Dimel figured they would load the box so passing would be our best option. Granted, their CB made a nice move to stick Heath on the bubble screen for the loss to put us behind the sticks, but the running game was working.
Run the ball, control the clock, hopefully score again...we could have put the game away then and really nothing else that happens after that means much.
But I will say, up till then, I did not find that much to complain about...but I am sure I am forgetting something.
