The Wildcats, coming off a gut-punch 43-37 loss to No. 22 Oklahoma State, just might’ve found an extra gear to get them through this bye week. That can happen to guys when they suddenly learn their school hasn’t won at Waco since Oct. 26, 2002.
That’s what redshirt freshman running back Alex Barnes learned Tuesday at the Vanier Family Football Complex.
“Really?” Barnes said. “That’s a lot of motivation right there. I didn’t know it’s been that long.”
He paused.
“Yeah,” he said, “we’re going to have to get the job done.”
