As a fan, that’s a hard loss to shake. Been thinking about it all day.
3-2 (1-1) with a non-con p5 road loss and a conference road loss and a banged up QB. Deflating start to a season that began with high hopes. And as we head into this Big 12 gauntlet, seems like a wasted season.
But this is the exact same situation we were staring down this time last year! Hell we even dropped the next game and fell to 3-3.
I’m bummed too, but all this talk about coach needing to retire after every single loss is so ridiculous. He didn’t just forget how to coach over the last couple years. We were a holding call away from first and goal in that second OT. There’s only one coach who doesn’t lose a game each season and only a handful who lose just one...that doesn’t mean all the other coaches need to retire.
I hate these losses too, but let’s see how these next couple weeks go before we write this team and this staff off.
