my preseason expectations for this season will have been fulfilled.
I know some my believe that I set the bar too low and that expectations like these are what sets back a program to the days of Wooly. I disagree.
My expectation was for the team to match or exceed the win total from last year with a younger, less experienced, less talented roster all while showing that the players can play hard, play together, and be coachable.
So far, so good.
8 more home games (1 noncon) and 8 more road games.
Think we can go 7-2 or 6-3 in those home games?
Think we can go 3-5 or 2-8 in the away games?
If so, that would make for 8-10 more wins and a likely tourney invite, which, in some ways, is what I thought this team could do before the season, but I tempered my expectations after what transpired last year. Those close to me, who I converse with off this board, know that I was saying 20 wins would be possible because we have some talented pieces. But, ultimately, what I wanted to see was if BW could get a handle on his players and program...
