It’s actually been 11 months since the Wildcats took on a top-ranked offense.

No. 2 Baylor arrived at Manhattan on Nov. 5 ranked No. 1 in scoring offense (61.1 points) and in total yards (686.1 yards). During a 31-24 loss, the Wildcats held the Bears to 30.1 points below their season average and 164.1 yards below their standard in total yardage.

As for last top 10 offense to face the Wildcats? Texas Tech.

Mahomes and the Red Raiders issued a 59-44 drubbing of the Wildcats in Lubbock last season, scoring more points on the Wildcats than any team since 2009 while the Wildcats allowed 658 total yards, their most during a disappointing campaign.

“You look back at the tape and you can ask anybody: We played horrible last year,” said Lee, who had 11 tackles and one sack in that contest. “We can’t have that again. That’s not what K-State’s defense is all about.”
