In the first four minutes of the game, everyone on the court except Mawien had brought the ball up the floor. This helps alleviate the pressure on Diarra. Also, when OSU applied some token full court man to man pressure, Barry would come back to bring it up.

Early in the game, we set a ball screen for Dean which allowed him to get in the lane and finish with his great up and under move. I would love to see us set more ball screens for Dean, particularly at the elbow area as that is a tough spot on the floor for the defense to get a lot of help. I think this could be effective Saturday against KU as if forces Azubuike to help away from the basket or even better, forces a switch so he has to guard Dean on the perimeter.

On Dean, last night wasn't one his better performance and I'm sure him being sick contributed to that. But I would still like to see the coaches run some more sets for him to help him get some easy buckets and get into a rhythm.

There were times last night our ball movement was better and I thought that might happen with Stokes out. In the 2nd half, there was definitely more dribbling and standing, but more times than not, Barry was able to make a play. You can't rely on that kind of performance every night, so we must continue to get more consistent in running good offense.

Who knew Mawien had a fade away in the toolbox!?!?!? Hope we don't see that shot too many more times.

A couple of lineups in the first half were interesting to say the least. We saw McGuirl, Wainright, Love, Diarra, and Dean together and then Brown, Love, Sneed, McGuirl, and Wainright.

Sallah didn't go anything great, but he was okay in the first half (actually knocked down a jumper), so I was surprised when Stockard was the first big off the bench in the second half.

If Patrick is going to be in late in games for what I presume is free throw shooting purposes, the coaches need to do a better job of playing offense/defense with him. I saw Frazier and then Lowry have a brief interaction with Weber after several bad possession defensively, and after that conversation, Weber inserted Wainwright into the game.
