Sure the end of the season sucked losing two games in a row but there is a lot of positive things you can say about the K-State women's program in year two of the Jeff Mitte era. There was an emergence of the Lewis-Wesemann dynamic duo and the arrival of a bench, something that kept the Cats in games and helped spring a few upsets along the way. If I were to have a ballot for the All-Big 12 team, here are some of the Wildcats I'd put on it.
All Big 12 2nd Team
Breanna Lewis
Kindred Wesemann
All Big 12 3rd Team
Megan Deines
All Big 12 Defensive Team
Breanna Lewis
Megan Deines
Coming into the Big 12 tournament the K-State women have lost two tough games in a row (Baylor and Oklahoma State) however, they've been able to be competitive in those games it's two losses and that puts them back in the bubble heading to OKC. As of right now in ESPN's women's bracketology, the Wildcats are in as a No.9 seed in the south region and would face South Florida. Winner of that game would get No.1 seed South Carolina in the round of 32.
