He's some quick analysis from K-State's loss to Texas on Saturday.....

Texas Defense
This by far was the toughest and stingiest defense that the Wildcats have seen this season, the Longhorns took the Wildcats out of their game and frustrated Breanna Lewis from the start. The offense seemed to get in a groove near the end of the 1st quarter but that quickly went away with scoring droughts in the 2nd and 3rd quarter.

Scoring Droughts Will Drown Cats
Speaking of scoring droughts, it's one thing that cost the Wildcats a shot at an NCAA bid last season and it came back to haunt the Wildcats last night. We know that this team can put three maybe four scorers (Deines, Wesemann, Lewis and Martin) on the floor at once but when two, three or at worst even four of them struggle to get baskets, that puts more pressure on the bench to produce and last night the K-State bench put up 16 points compared to UT's 24. With a very tough slate ahead of them, they'll need all 10 players in the rotation to produce.

The Wildcats start a very tough road that consists of them seeing Baylor, West Virginia and Oklahoma within the next 10 days. Those are three sure fire tournament teams. If the Wildcats can play good ball and not get blown out they can take something from there an finish strong as they look to reach the NCAA tournament. Like the men, they are sitting on the bubble and beating one of those teams could for sure put them in prime position come selection monday.
