The Wildcats hadn't won in Ames, Iowa since 2008. Well, after tonight the ladies made sure that they didn't extend that losing streak another season as they won 68-53 and moved a step closer towards that group of At-Large teams.

Page and Lewis have their way with the Cyclones.
Historical performances from Kaylee Page and Breanna Lewis pushed the Wildcats passed Iowa State tonight. Breanna Lewis put together one of the best games from a Wildcat in a very, very long time. Going almost perfect from the field with 25 points and 16 rebounds, Meanwhile, Page was dishing out 10 assists while pouring in 13 points. Wether it be Lewis and Page/Deines/Wesemann or anybody else it's highly important that they get scoring from two or three players down the stretch to give them a chance to go dancing.

Iowa State, Ice Cold
As good as K-State was, Iowa State was just as bad tonight. The Cyclones were cold from the field and struggled to grab any type of momentum and in a game you figured that they'd be much closer with one one turnover in the ballgame. That's right, Iowa State only committed one turnover and still got ran off the floor. Even with a 10-0 run to end the ballgame, Iowa State did not make K-State feel uncomfortable at all. No Hilton Magic tonight.

Tourney Prospects
As of right now K-State is IN but with games Baylor at home and Oklahoma State in Stillwater the Wildcats will need at least one of those to feel someone comfortable about their NCAA Tournament chances going into the Big 12 tournament. In case you were wondering who the Wildcats would face if the season ended today, it would be Oklahoma State in the 3-6 game in the Big 12 quarterfinals. Mittie's ladies may have two cracks at the Cowgirls. One of those could be a win and get K-State dancing come Selection Monday.
