Brief breakdown of K-State and Texas with some added thoughts regarding the NCAA Tournament.

Horseshoes, Hand Grenades, Austin.
You can easily call this the most frustrating loss of the season for the Cats, in a game which they controlled most of the way, this hurts. Did the Wildcats turn the corner? Sure. Did the defensive switch catch Texas off-guard? Absolutely. However, when it came down to it, the Wildcats couldn't come up with the plays necessary to win the game and for Mittie and his group, it makes you sick knowing how close they could've been to sealing an NCAA bid tonight, or if not some as close as you can to sealing an at large bid.

Bre Lewis and not much else.
She struggled to start out but the Wisconsin native strung a few baskets together and grabbed clutch rebounds but she needed more help tonight. Neither team could get shots to fall especially the Wildcats. Kindred Wesemann with one of her worst games as Wildcat going 2-12 from the field and 2-6 from three point range. Ouch. Major ouch. Page and Deines having rough games from the field isn't helping either. As a team, K-State was 35% from the field and 22% from three point line, you aren't winning many ballgames shooting like that.

Tourney Thoughts
Did K-State hurt their tourney chances tonight? I believe they didn't, although that might not be a popular view point on here. I will say that this game, even in a loss keeps them in the conversation. They took a possible Sweet 16/Regional Final to the brink, on the road mind you. However a loss in a loss and don't be shocked if they are sitting on the outside looking in next week's brackeology. However, I'd keep them in at this point, the wins over Oklahoma and Oklahoma State are very good wins. However, they need a road win and that's coming in Ames or Stillwater. Gotta have one of those and some help to be feeling good going into selection monday.
