Was at the game last night and saw first hand what we have. Very excited about this group. UNC is a legit Final Four contender. Their big men are dominant and agile and all NBA prospects. Know that because where I was sitting last night I was surrounded by NBA scouts, not watching us, watching UNC. 2 from the Spurs, 1 from the Pacers and 1 from the Magic and that's just those I knew about. So we take a JR/SR laden team full of NBA prospects to the wire last night with an entirely new starting line up and 2 Freshman. This team , providing they stay on course, will do damage in the Big 12. Stokes has a pure shot and GREAT instincts. The second he saw an opening he drove to the hole. Wade has great size, versatility and range. He had a tough game last night but no shame in that. He grew 1/2 a season worth of basketball in one night with what he went up against last night. Hurt is much improved and a force. Edwards solid and developing. Bench was not much of a drop off which was my concern as we started subbing last night. They communicate well on both ends of the floor. Switches on Defense were seamless. Team looks like one that has been together a lot longer than they have. Offense needs to get better and they need to handle pressure better but outside of KU, they won't face a team with that much talent in the Big 12. Proud of how they competed. Last night will go a long way to helping us mature ahead of schedule. Plan on attending a lot of games this year. Really like this bunch. Have to give it to Weber, he has assembled a nice squad.
