This board is like an alternate universe; very far removed from reality. I expect coaching changes on the defensive side, but BV will never coach at KSU as DC or HC. He's not interested.
A bunch of people on here will likely continue to spread the fantasy of ongoing talks, or talks that broke down, and then 20 years from now at 80% of the tailgates people will talk like it was a done deal for BV to come to KSU but it fell through "because of Snyder", or "because of Currie", or whoever they want to blame.
Then every time something happens they don't like they'll pretend it's because Snyder won't do this or that, can't recruit, won't change coaches, stood in the way of hiring BV, whatever...when Shackleford flips to Texas, it'll be because our recruiting sucks or we don't have young coaches blah blah blah, even though it wouldn't matter if Nick Saban were at KSU, because the reason Shackleford flips has nothing to do with the head coach or how he was recruited. Or he won't flip and people will think we scored an amazing pickup, when for all we know he's a backup plan for Texas and never got the offer and that's why he stuck with KSU (if it plays out that way). We'll never know, really.
The program isn't in the verge of collapse...we're not walking a razors' edge. Yes, we obviously don't have the talent we had on our best teams from the 90s, but we're far from devoid of talent. 2015 was an extraordinary injury-laden anomaly. Keep calm and Snyder on. I'm ecstatic he's going to be back in 2016.
