I re-read this article this morning after the author put a big dose of "I told you so" out on Twitter.

It is amazing how truly accurate he was/is. Both in his assessment of Weber's coaching trajectory here as well as his assessment of Currie's motivation/ego in creating an environment to run off Martin to bring in 'his guy' as a pad for future employment opportunities. Currie wants a 'bigger' job than K-State, I don't think that's a secret at all, and our program is the worse now because that's been his focus all along.
Yes he's done great cleaning up the finances, pushing capital improvements on Snyder and pumping money into the department with new streams of donors. But coaches are what truly define athletic directors. And re-reading this article and it's accuracy from the beginning scares me when I think that Currie once again might be hiring a new basketball coach AND Snyder's replacement. Those nice capital improvements will grow old and less shiny and those streams of new donors will dry up if Currie is again hiring coaches simply to pad his resume, not to do what's best for K-State.
Yuck...
