It will not take 90 wins to be the division champ. The division is much improved and will be more competitive for all 5 teams. The Twins have come a long way and will be a force to be reckoned with. The White sox may have gotten their house in order this year and will be better, the Indians may have the best starting pitching in the AL. Their offense does need some help but they have several very good rookies this year. Detroit is a mystery again, good offense ,Average starting pitching, but promising, relief pitching shored up somewhat, but still questionable. this brings us to the Royals:
Mostly the same offensive team minus Zobrist and Rios. Zobrist leaves a big hole, Rios, no! Dyson will be o.k. if spelled against good left handed pitching. I am hoping Brett Eibner gets some time in RF. Orlando is also an adequate outfielder. the big question is who will be at second base, Infante or Colon? Then we must factor in, can the Royals duplicate their many come from behind victories of last season? We know the lock down bull pen will keep a majority of games close. All in all the royals will be competitive and fans in KC will set a new attendance record. Wish I could be there in person, it will be a very exciting summer. In the mean time activity in Surprise is ready to start and answer some of these questions. I will be there!
