KSU track athlete Akela Jones has set a collegiate record after the first four events of the heptathlon. She leads by approximately 200 points after the first day. She will have the long jump, javelin, and 800 meter run tomorrow afternoon. She is one of several of our lady athletes that may place high in their events. We should score points in the shot put, hammer throw, and high jump, and possibly a couple of other events.
