Just wondering if anyone has any expertise in this area. I am currently suffering from a disease that could be a rare form of cancer. I am awaiting test results as my condition deteriorates daily. I have been calling the cancer center where the tests were done to see if results are back. I finally go a hold of the right office person and they said that the delay in testing is because my insurance co. (bc&bs) is questioning whether the tests are needed and or trying to deny paying. I guess the labs have to get permission now from insurance company before they can run the tests.
I desperately need these results to find out if in fact I do have the kind of cancer that my specialist thinks it is and to start treatments. I am furious that bc&bs is causing the holdup. I am calling them tomorrow and giving them 24 hours to resolve the issue or will file a lawsuit against them. It is the last card I have to play. Any advice?
