Apple TV

Anyone that has used this product, would like to hear what you think of it. Mostly interested in watching KSU football and basketball games. Currently have Direct TV and that's great but expensive. Received Apple TV as a gift and will be turning off DTV soon. The way I understand it you can purchase individual shows/sporting events after they have aired. Thanks for imput!
