missed the fun earlier (stupid work!) so thought i'd just throw this out there... lots of positive, a few negatives... and let's begin.. i will try to organize with most exciting first

the depth of young talent on defense - i actually can't believe it.. this team can actually shift defensive philosophies from a bend but dont break if they want to in a year or 2 *.... 10 sophomores on the 2 deep... let me repeat... 10!... can you imagine that senior class? (don't imagine the year after!)
worst playmakers in the big12? - even without knowing what ku will bring, this still may be true... I can not believe the complete fail job at WR recruiting the last couple of years... the top 6 wrs are 4 seniors, 1 jr and 1 frosh... and they, as a whole, don't scare anyone... i think the really shocking thing is not that so many non-freak-athletes are in the top 6, but that nobody has beaten them out... it's really bad... like as incredible as young as he D is, it's the same for these playmakers (just... in an opposite way)
i said playmakers because I've been critical of the running game... i knew this was going to be the opening day depth chart... but if it's like this all year, with jones and the wr group, we might be in big trouble
@ccox said to give ertz patience... and i think, with this group, you will have no choice... the WRs couldn't get any seperation at the spring game (or most of their careers) and it's going to require laser precision for ertz to complete passes with defenders all over them... this is scary
love the top of the D-ends.... - Bryant is the most underrated cat on this board.. he's been as good as mueller for at least the last year... and should have started last year over either end (i know they wanted willis' size and cant bench mueller).... but I do worry about depth... I cannot wait to see who the rush-ends are...
DT - are you freaking kidding me? it's weird to take britz for granted because there is just so much at the position for the coming years it's like.. oh, he's a senior? crazy.. bring on english then!
Gronk or dimel???? Cody or valentine??? - i suggested in Jan that we would go to a qb run game and that will open up so much... but I wonder now if the offense is going to work through these 4... it almost has to... who has seen a TE/FB based offense in the last 20 years??? we will now... or at least the threat of them...
it's all very exciting... i can't wait to watch this defense.. and i hope working against that d helps the offense!
* they don't have to.. clearly, it works pretty well here, but it doesn't allow them to stop the very best offenses
