Interesting article that talks about Iowa State's success in Kansas, and the exodus of the state's top recruits. Emphasizes relationships and so forth with quotes from KS high school coaches. Good piece of reporting from the Register. That's a good job by them there.
One thing that jumped out to me was the following:
"Milleson said relationships formed the No. 1 reason Pauls picked Iowa State over Oklahoma State and Iowa, the other two schools he was most considering."
This is news to me -- was it common knowledge that we finished no higher than 4th for Paul's services?
