The first quarterback to make this year’s list is Avery Johnson, who has testing numbers that most skill players dream of. In May at the Elite 11 Regional outside of Nashville, the Kansas-based gunslinger posted an eye-popping 4.56 on the lasers in the 40-yard dash. He then proceeded to clock a 4.24 in the 20-yard shuttle before topping things off with a 36.7-inch vertical jump. Those numbers were good enough for a 106.5 SPARQ score, which tops what both Lamar Jackson (83.31) and Jalen Hurts (82.71) totaled when back when they were in 11th grade. Johnson is also a talented basketball playerwho’s led Maize High to back-to-back state Final Fours while averaging 12.4 points per game.
