I am rewatching the game and at the end of the first half Valentine is called for illegal man downfield. I assumed one of the WR lined up wrong making him ineligible or he lined up on the wrong side of the formation (which happened a few times in the 2nd half on running plays). In this case none of those things happened. Both WR on his side were 2 yards in the backfield. I realize refs cannot be perfect and will miss something they do not see, but something like this where they see something that is not there and it is something he would see while all of the players are standing still is a head scratcher.
It was also odd that there were multiple flags thrown and then waved off after conversations.
