A little break from recruiting, as we play a basketball game in the middle of the night tonight. Barry Brown is shooting 15% on 3’s over the past 6 games (4 of 26) and that includes a 3-7 game. If you take that out, he is 2 for 19 over the other 5 games, which is 10.5%. That’s our “Shooting” Guard...
He’s at 28% on 3’s for the season and has struggled for essentially an entire month. At some point you at what you are...a SG who can’t shoot. We need him to be at least a 35% shooter from 3. I appreciate his defense, but he has GOT to improve his shooting to give us a chance to overcome our terrible post play and lack of rebounding, which are issues we just aren’t going to improve on much this year.
I guess he can help compensate some of his lack of shooting ability by attacking more and scoring mid-range and at the rim, but that’s not really his game and we need our SG to be able to hit outside shots.
