Last night's fundraising kickoff was another great reminder of why we really need to be careful criticizing our student athletes. Brian Rohleder got up in front of a packed house at McCain Auditorium and delivered an amazing talk about his time at Kansas State. Hearing him talk about trying to realize a dream of playing D1 while earning an engineering degree at the same time was so impressive. When I hear these remarkable students, tell such remarkable stories, I become a huge fan no matter what there statistics say. It also reminds me how much more I could have given back during my wasted youth. Not trying to be little Mr. Sunshine here, but anybody who listened to him last night would jump on the Rohleder bandwagon.
