Sorry I don't have a fancy headline for this like @ahammgpc does, (A-Hamm's Analysis,) but here's an update on the baseball team.
The Wildcats won this afternoon, 13-8, sweeping Arkansas-Pine Bluff and improving to 7-4 on the season.
Levi MaVorhis took the mound and got rocked early, giving up 3 runs in the first. He was pulled in 3 2/3 innings. But he did strike out eight batters, which was a career high for him. Colton Kalmus came in and got the win for K-State. The Wildcats responded with 7 runs in the bottom of the first ,(it was a really long first inning. I even got some homework completed during the inning.)
K-State has scored 66 runs in the last four games, which is just ridiculous. Jake Wodtke is the clear leader of this team right now and he had a day going 2-for-3 with 3 RBI. He had 12 RBI and six runs on the weekend as he currently leads the team in hitting this season with a .488 clip and an-already-career-high 15 RBI. He also had a hell of a catch that you can see here, http://www.kstatesports.com/video/56dcd8d0e4b051543fde89a9.
The Cats are on a 5-game winning streak right now and will look to continue it on Wednesday when they host Creighton at 3:05. Look here for an update from either me or Hammond.
