Culture can improve talent and maximize talent with inspiration. Culture attracts better coaching and support staff as well as improves job performance when the team believes in what the flag stands for. Culture can snowball and allow the vision to expand beyond what was originally planned.
Culture goes beyond Vanier. There is a reason why the brand of Snyder 2 was geniusly crafted to our values as an alumni base and fan base. That wasn't all Snyder's idea and looking back, Snyder 2 has been much more than "calming the waters". It has solidified our foundation as a program that can grow beyond what Snyder built moving forward. The KSU culture is unique to us and it will transcend coaching staffs. Smart coaching staffs will tap into it and even embolden it like Snyder has done twice.
Culture can be eroded from within and from outside. We are playing good football right now. We will be better in 2017 and 2018. Snyder may retire somewhere between now and then but branding the transition with his support will help us move forward faster and give the next guy a chance to embrace what is built and put his own stamp on it. I'm not saying that critical analysis is unwarranted but negatively biased and often low information criticism from some our fans is unproductive.
We have to keep the passion for building our culture into an environment that inspires people to perform up to and beyond their perceived abilities and a stadium that is the most difficult place to play for opponents.
