Big 12 games only, OOC games excluded for all teams. Non garbage drives only.
Here is what they say to me...
1st, the offense and defense have both been 4th or 5th in the league in terms of production, ie. points per drive and points per play. Some seem to think that the defense is overperforming the offense, but they produce at about the same level compared to the league.
2nd, A big part of K-State's advantage this year has been forcing TOs and yesterday that flipped. Even though the Cats were able to keep WVU from scoring off the first 2, one was returned for a TD and it took away 2 drives from K-State, one inside WVU territory. It also helped even up average starting field position.
3rd, average start was basically even yesterday and along with TOs this is an area K-State has to win to beat teams right now. The advantage overall for the season is still solid at 8+ yards per start, but losing both ASFP and TOs yesterday put too much pressure on average offensive and defensive units.
