1) last time the Big 12 had 3 second weekend teams was 2006 before the 2016 tournament. We also had 3/16 last year. Good back to back trend that I think could be actually 4 this year (Tech, KU, WVU, TCU and maybe even us as a 10 seed).
2) the Big 12 had 2 Elite 8 teams 3 years in a row, 2008-2010. 2002-2004, It also had 5 final four teams 3 years in a row, 4 different teams. Both impressive to do separately in a 17 year span.
3) we’ve finish the season now #1 conference RPI 4 of the last 5 seasons (last year was ACC). To put into perspective, that never (was close) happened in the “old Big 12” or Big 8. Or, at least since Real Time RPI kept tabs.
Granted people knock us for a lack of natties in football and Bball both, but good momentum currently in both as well. Def the peak since the break-up of the conference.
