This idea is assuming that in the future we'll have a Championship game with either 10 teams or 12.
The SEC inflates their win totals by only playing 8 conference games instead of the 9 that all Big 12 teams play. I wish our conference leader would have the stones to try to beat these conferences at their own game and move back our conference games to only 7, but with a 4 team playoff for the Big 12, so our best teams are getting two high quality wins to end the season as well as stealing the spotlight for the last two weeks of the year. The rest of the conference will get to inflate their win total.
Feels like a Win-Win to me. Unfortunately, I don't think the Big 12 is this forward thinking.
