Bye: ISU & Baylor

Okie State @ KU
Thanks to TCU nearly losing to the birds, Okie State will not overlook ku
Not that I believe Okie State is a really good team.
The Pokes had a nice win over Texas in Stillwater.
Note: Okie State is coming off a bye week, ku is coming off a wood shed beating.
Okie State rolls.

TCU @ WV = a very interesting game.
The Frogs should have beaten Arkansas and would be ranked.
WV kicked TT all over their home field last week.
I call this game 50/50.

OU @ TT
The Sooners are clicking, the Red Raiders are not.
Pretty Boy might actually start feeling a little heat after the season, if TT can't win at least 6 games.
Right now, I only see 4 or 5 wins for the Red Raiders.
Sooners by 14+

Texas @ K-State
I still believe K-State's defense is much better this season.... but when your offense cannot generate first downs and score points, the defense is stressed all the more.

What a difference a good QB makes.
Ertz is probable for Texas, but if he starts, can he stay in the game?
Hubener appears to be the same QB that he was a year ago.
We know that Delton can run, but lacks game experience (unproven passer).
If I had my wish, I would go with Delton if Ertz can't go, but we know that's not going to happen, well unless Snyder is deliberately trying to trick the Horns.

But unlike K-State, Texas decided to go with their true freshman this season = 4-star rated dual threat QB, Shane Buechele. Buechele was the #5 rated dual threat QB in last year's recruiting class, Skylar Thompson was the #10 rated dual threat QB (both 4-star rated dual threat QBs).
Almost identical size.
I don't know if Buechele was on campus for spring ball like Thompson was at K-State ??

Apparently Skylar was never a consideration for the CATS this season.
Why would he be, given all of the hype that surrounded Ertz...cough cough.

I still believe Ertz can settle down and become a good QB for K-State (maybe not great, but good)... but the same old question remains, can he stay healthy long enough to become good? He still runs timid ... though he has shown a second gear when he sees daylight.

Bottom line, if K-State cannot successfully pass the ball, the CATS will fall to the Horns.
Texas has enough athletes on defense to take away the run.
As it looks right now, K-State will need Texas to make mistakes and turn the ball over... that appears to be the sad reality.

"IF" K-State does find a way to win... the CATS will drive a nail into Charlie's coffin.
Charlie needs at least 7 wins to keep his job (some might argue 8 wins).
6 wins won't suffice.

GO STATE !
