Well, the abject disaster that was the SEC/Big12 challenge is over and the Big 12 picks up play starting tonight for the stretch run. Most teams will have played over half their conference games by the end of this week.
There are some really intriguing matchups too.
Big Monday starts tonight with WVU traveling to Baylor. Losing LJ Cryer is a big blow to Baylor. He was a shoe-in for 6th man of the year and honestly would be pushing for 1st/2nd team All-Big 12. If he is out for an extended period, that's a crushing blow.
KU travels to Iowa State tomorrow night. That should be fun and Chris Beard makes his return to Lubbock in what should be a really good matchup.
Baylor also travels to Lawrence on Saturday.
K-State will try to climb out of the Big 12 cellar with their first game against OSU on Wednesday and will try to avoid getting swept by TCU in Ft. Worth on Saturday.
Current Big 12 standings:
1. Kansas 6-1
2. Baylor 6-2
3. Texas 5-3
Tech 5-3
5. TCU 3-3
6. Iowa State 3-5
Oklahoma 3-5
Oklahoma State 3-5
9. West Virigina 2-5
10. K-State 2-6
