I am convinced that we must beat Baylor on Thursday and we better not have some thought that that win is enough. I think that is minimum to stay on the bubble.
Based upon what other schools have done, we may need to win on Friday also.
If we do win Friday, that obviously puts us in the championship game and at that stage, I'm greedy. I want the Big 12 Championship.
Imagine HCBW winning the Big 12 Championship and taking that trophy home to put next to the 2013 trophy as he NOW gets a bye in the 1st round of the big dance and probably a 10 seed.
Sheesh, I'd love to see it for the sake of the team and yet my perspective on HCBW is not really any different.
Once again, I'm not predicting it. I expect us to struggle with Baylor on Thursday
I do like us playing Baylor rather than ISU due mostly due to senior leadership at Iowa State and the fans ISU always brings.
My prediction is a #2 seed in the NIT
The question is: Is that enough for HCBW?
I so loved this team at the beginning of the year. The way we played unselfishly, efficiently, made shots, and played constant great defense.
I saw that on Wednesday against TCU. 40 minutes of pretty solid D. Saw some of it yesterday but even more vs. TCU.
