I understand player safety is very important in the sport, but the fact Lee's and Adams hits are considered a penalty is unfortunate to me. Those types of hits used to get praised and was seen as a good defensive play. Now it's seen as a penalty and dirty. They also give the defense some momentum if they aren't negated by a penalty. As I said, I understand player safety is important, but it's football. It's a physical sport. People weren't as worried about these plays when I was playing.
