Which of the items listed below do you think is the biggest factor?
1. Healthier Ertz - still doesn't explain Vandy loss and close Baylor game
2. Key losses on D: Willis, Barnett, Lee, Moore - LBs are weak spot, safety is debatable, and pass rush is non-existent. All that said, I don't really feel this side of the ball is the main concern, weak for sure but better than the O.
3. Overconfident - finished strong and thought they'd automatically pick up where they left off. Based on interviews of coaches and those around the program said off-season seemed good/normal.
4. Other - Snyder cancer, off-season injuries, etc.
Not much in terms of personnel has changed from last year (players and coaches) and I suppose there is still time to turn season around, but we are going the wrong direction in a sport that relies on confidence and momentum more than any other team sport.
Rambling post over, interested in thoughts. I think Ertz is the biggest factor, but there's more to it.
