Bill Snyder just taped his interview with Kevin Kietzman. He was asked about Corey Sutton. Here is what coach had to say about Corey:

“I’ve been at Kansas State for, whatever it is, 25-28 years. I think our fans understand me, they understand our program, they understand me, they understand our program. They know me, they understand our program. You know me, you understand our program. There’s a youngster that’s been in our program for about 15 months and I leave it to our fans to understand what’s accurate and what’s not accurate. You’re right, it is an entirely different time of life I guess and these are different times. My policy has always been, that part of it hasn’t changed, is: young people come into our program, we make a commitment to them. I have never, in a youngster that has come on scholarship, he understands what the rules and regulations of the program are. He understands if he doesn’t violate those behavioral issues that are stated and he is well aware of, then I would never take their scholarship away, regardless of whether—we’ve had young guys that maybe just didn’t have quite the talent to get on the field and consequently never played. It would’ve been very easy (to take their scholarship away) and most places in the country you find they take their scholarship away and give it to someone else. It’s my commitment that once we have signed the youngster, that we’re committed to him as long as he behaves himself. I accept a youngster that comes into our program as making a similar commitment with a handshake and obviously a signed piece of paper. I’ve always said a youngster is free to leave, but I’m not going to release the youngster. It doesn’t mean he can’t go someplace else and play, he can certainly do that. He wouldn’t be on athletic scholarship for a year’s period of time, but could still go and play and then go on scholarship after that. That’s a choice they have to make. I’ve told the young man, and have told him all along, we’d love for him to stay in the program. Anyways, at the end of the day, that’s always been my policy, as I said. There’s a lot of things being said out there, some of them that I’m not even aware of. You know our program, you know me and so do thousands and thousands of others and I’ll leave it to you.”

I will have a story on Corey within the next 30 minutes probably.

The sound of that quote will play in Kevin's monologue, beginning around 2:00. The full interview, which will include comments about Coach's health and coaching next season, will be heard at 4:00. All can be heard on 810.
