The Lumberjacks of Stephen F. Austin wrapped up their non-conference schedule with a 10 point loss to UAB. They are now 7-5 and ranked #192 in the RPI. Their best win in the non-con was an 8 point victory over RPI #263 Western Michigan. They have three losses to teams outside the RPI 100 - with their worst being a loss to RPI #265 Tulane.
This is not a rebuilding year for the 'Jacks. They returned Thomas Walkup (Soulthland Conference POY and HM All-American last season) along with two other starters from last season and several upperclassmen reserves (now starters).
