I don't have any personal feeling one way or another about Bruce and hate is something I save for terrorists and such. It is the team he fields and the records he produces that make me want to see him on an outgoing flight from Manhattan International Airport. Somewhere there is a D1 fanbase that is OK with watching March Madness without their team playing but it is not in Manhattan. We had a long and proud history---I saw Jack and Bob take down Wilt--but this is not a program on the rise but merely one struggling from year to year to find identity.
Brett are just fine with finishing in the middle of the pack year after year especially after the Big 12 gets exposed like last year as not all that powerful at the top?
When I originally objected to his hiring it was based on what Illini boosters I know had told me about Weber and lo and behold we see the same thing happening here. The short story was good bench coach but couldn't recruit a TEAM. The roster has been all over the place but never have we seen it look like it is coming together to be a team that you can think could make a run in the tournament.
Please tell me exactly what it is that you see that I don't with the optimism on Bruce going forward? Especially after GPC staff really gave LHCBS the work over on recruiting. For heaven's sake, Bill has a track record where Bruce not so much after he has to play with his recruits. One could conclude you hate Bill applying the same standard as you appear to have attached to those of us who think ADJC missed the boat on running Frank off and replacing him with a just fired coach from another program.
