SIAP. What is everyone take on who screwed up on the illegal man downfield penalty on Briley Moore‘s TD. That was called back? I know they said that the outside receiver covered him making him ineligible. But. The way we were lined up had the outside WR backed off of the line of scrimmage we would ha e had an illegal formation . When we snapped the ball we had no receivers on the left side of the field . The left tackle was eligible. It is almost as if the design of the play was to hope the ref didn’t notice . Unless one of the WR was supposed to be on the left side of the field.
we had a similar formation on Deuce‘a TD run late in the Game . The only difference was we had Barta in as fab instead of Wheeler in the slot as an HB. On that run all of the receivers were on the right side and the TEcwas covered .Ou overloaded the strong side but left the back side 1 man short springing Deuce for the long run.
