North Carolina - the state that essentially banned the study of sea level rise - has brought us another gem of their brilliance. A solar farm was recently rejected in Woodland, NC in part because of a fear that plants in the area would die because the solar farms would "suck up all the energy from the sun". There was also an unfounded fear that solar panels cause cancer.
Well done, NC. It's a nice little competition in that part of the world between SC, NC and FL on who's the dumbest and most wacky.
