Not making a prediction one way or another, but if things continues go to in the toilet & Replacing Bruce Weber looks to be an option. It might actually be cheaper to fire him and pay the buyout to keep him.
Basically with Weber’s current contract we’re going to owe him around 8 million over the next three years.
His buyout in 2021 is $2 million. Essentially that gives you a $2 million purse per year to go after a new coach, even paying the buyout. And that doesn’t count the money you would save on assistants salaries.
$2 million a year to start...should be plenty to go after anyone on K-States radar I would think.
